Girl Scouts Thin Mints Bear – Review

I received products in order to do a review, however all opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.

We love Build-A-Bear Workshop at our house.  Both of my kids have had trips there and we have a nice selection of animals and clothing from there.  They always have an amazing selection of animals and accessories to choose from and there is nothing like the experience of their interactive make your own stuffed animal experience.

In all the years I have been their customer, I never realized that they work with the Girl Scouts to help promote the youth leadership program.  I was never a Girl Scout because my parents schedule and finances made it impossible, I love all the great things that the program does for girls.  The self confidence, of course the selling of the best cookies which teaches them business and people skills.  I think I am one of their best customers when the cookies come out!

I just received an opportunity to do a review of one of their new Build-A-Bear Workshops Thin Mints Bear.  Let me just say I lost the bear immediately to my son.  He recognized the Build-A-Bear box that you get when you bring one home from their store and that was all it took.  This bear is so cute, the pads of its hands, feet, nose and ears are all a light mint green.  One of its feet has a cookie on it and the other has the Girl Scout symbol.  They always put so much detail into their products, it just amazes me.  Our little bear came with khaki shorts, white t-shirt, white sneakers and of course the Girl Scout vest.  They even come with stickers so you can add your troop number to the vest.

They actually launched their first make-your-own Girls Scouts 100th Anniversary Bear last March in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts.  They have several licensed products to choose from so you can have a nice selection of outfits for your bear.

Make sure you keep an eye out for this cute Girl Scouts Thin Mints Bear which will be hitting stores soon!!

I love that they have great products and love when we visit their store for the entire interactive make your own stuffed animal experience, but it is nice to know that I can order and ship these to family and friends.  It is great to support a company that gives you a memory to share with your children, knowing that they give back makes me glad I have supported them all these years.

You can check out all the selections that the Build-A-Bear Workshop has on their website, they are also on Facebook, and Twitter.

  1. We love BAB in our house too! I didn’t realize they worked with Girls Scouts either. What a great partnership.

    • I love when companies give back. Build a Bear Workshops is a good one to partner with, they have the cutest way to help promote and support!

  2. Cute! I love Build a Bear as well. Never knew they had a Girl Scout one but I should have known… they have one of everything!

  3. That is so cute! I wish there was a BAB close enough to us, we went once a few years ago, it was so fun!

    • We did not always have one that is close, actually the one we go to is about an hour away, but that is the closest decent mall. I sometimes order them online if I can not go.

  4. What a cute bear, I love that they are helping to promote girl scouts of america, wow 100 yrs., that’s awesome! I think its amazing the work Build-A-Bear does on all the animals and outfits, luv em!

    • I have always loved their workshops, knowing that they give back is a huge thing for me. It says a lot about the company.

  5. That is SO CUTE! We love thin mints AND BAB!

  6. What an adorable bear!

  7. That is so cute! I wish my kids were still little enough for Build-a-Bears. We do have like 8 of them though! I even won one right after Christmas that I am saving for next Christmas to give to a child in need. Build-a-Bear is great. And don’t get me started on thin mints!!!

  8. This is so cute… Great Post.

  9. those are cutie :) I love the bear. speaking for boyscout, i heard that boy/girl scout cookies will be for sale soon

  10. That is an adorable bear–and yes, I was a girl scout-unfortunately these bears were not around way back then–but the thin mint cookies were–still my favorite!

  11. I am so jealous of everyone who lives within reasonable driving distance to a Build-A-Bear Workshop. I have secretly and selfishly wanted to go for many, many years now, and I have been trying to plan a trip with my partner and stepdaughters for a while now, while they are still young enough to be interested and, yes, to go with me so I don’t look weird going in myself expecting to make a stuffed animal.

I am a huge fan of the Girl Scouts. I was a Girl Scout when I was younger and it was a really great experience with me. Love the Girl Scout bear!

    • I always tell my boys that one reason parents have children is because we never grew up and want to go play like we always have without the weird looks, lol. We have one an hour away but are getting a mall that is closer so I hope there is one in it!

  12. My girls loved Build a Bear when they were little. I love how they have it in a Girl Scout theme and yes thin mints are a favorite at our house too!

  13. I was a girls scout for most of childhood and this bear is super cute, would love one for my little girl and love that it’s helping promote girls scout programs!

    • I love this little bear, I wanted to keep it for myself but lost it to my 3yo. I can not wait to go build one with him now. Of course can not wait for the cookies either!

  14. We love BAB and Thin Mints, match made in heaven! I do wish we were closer to a workshop, the closest one is 2 hours away.
